Two burnt to death as truck, bus collide in LuanshyaÂ
TWO men of Hilcrest in Ndola have been burnt to death after a Toyota Regius they were traveling in collided head-on with a truck and caught fire along the Ndola-Luanshya road turn off..
Copperbelt Police Commissioner Charity Katanga has confirmed this and revealed that the accident happened today around 10:00 hours when the driver of the truck which was loaded with blocks hit into the Regius which had just turned.
Katanga said the truck then caught fire whilst the Regius was still trapped under it, hence the driver of the trapped vehicle identified as Vincent Musonda of Chipulukusu and his passenger Arnold Chinyembo both died.
Katanga said the truck driver identified as Michael Sakala aged 34 escaped unhurt while his lorry boy identified as Rogers Kabanda sustained cuts and has since been discharged from hospital.
