celebrated artiste Tsean, who is also known as Baila, has finally launched the Daddy Cares Initiative (DCI) project aimed at promoting the well-being of children in society, with focus on the underprivileged.
The Lusaka-based award winning artiste who recently launched his two albums titled ‘Comfort Zone’ and ‘Faith’ says he will offer five per cent of the proceeds from the album sales to the project.
Tsean says the DCI project aims at bringing children back into the education system, away from child labour and life on the streets.
The songwriter, producer and artiste explained that music had opened numerous doors for him. His credits include the Zambian Music awards, Born and Bred awards and a number of nominations.
Tsean, whose real names are Richard Sean Mulenga, wishes to give back to the community through this project by recognising the families and guardians of the vulnerable children and come up with other sources of income so as to support families so that children would no longer work on the streets.
“With this initiative, I would like to play a role in the realisation of reducing poverty levels amongst the children in society.
“I’m aware it won’t be an easy road, but this is a project I’m committed to realising, of course with the support of all well-meaning players,” he said.
He added: “As T-Sean and Bizzy Baila International, we see this as a new chapter of our musical journey where we are giving back to the community through our talents just to see a child in Mtendere, Kanyama, Chaisa, or Ng’ombe find a level ground to realise their goals and ambitions.”
He also announced that both Comfort Zone and Faith were on BUYINGZED.COM exclusively selling at K100 with payments via Airtel Money, MTN Money, Zoona and Xapit.
