By Luyando Hamwala:Farmers of Chongwe district have welcomed the timely distribution of inputs before the onset of the rain.The farmers representative, Desmond Chilai says early delivery of farming inputs should be encouraged, as it affords them more time to prepare their fields.This was when Nitrogen Chemicals of Zambia -NCZ- delivered the first 90-metric tonnes of D-Compound fertilizer, of the 3-hundred and 50 tonnes allocated to Chongwe.And Chongwe District Commissioner, Robster Mwanza says agriculture is a priority sector in development, therefore government is doing everything possible to ensure farmers receive inputs in good time.
