Thieves Steal Lusaka Water Supply And Sanitation Company Electric Cables At Kamwala South Main Borehole

Thieves have stolen electric cables at the Lusaka Water supply and Sanitation Company Kamwala South main borehole leaving a vast area without water supply.

Lusaka Water Supply and Sanitation Company Marketing and Public Relations Manager, Patson Phiri who confirmed the development to phoenix news said the thieves stole 19 meters of cables belonging to the water utility company and 24 meters belonging to power utility firm ZESCO, grounding the borehole to a halt.

And Mr. Phiri has disclosed that three suspects have since been apprehended in a theft that occurred on Friday night and a docket will be opened today.

He said the company will make sure the suspects are prosecuted and that there will be no compromise to ensure that they serve as an example to would be offenders
