The MTN/FAZ Superleague could be back as early as next month, the ZamFoot Crew understands.

Worldwide, Football has been halted due to the outbreak of the deadly Coronavirus for months now but a few countries have been making headway as far as their league returning is concerned with the Germany Bundesliga scheduled to make a return on May 15th.

The Zambia Super league may not be far off as well as sources at Football house indicate that the league may be back as soon as next month.

“Yes, there are ongoing discussions with the Ministry of Health and the league may resume next month if the Ministry will give its blessings and if the situation will allow so,” the source said.

“We are confident the situation will be better soon but like FIFA said health remains the biggest priority.”

FAZ is keen on having the league concluded on the pitch as opposed to other options like cancellation of the season.

This decision given the length of the current Coronavirus imposed break, the 2020/2021 season is expected to start late and according to all indications may start even in March 2021.
