In the country currently, there is a debate on whether Austrian based duo of Enock Mwepu and Patson Daka is ready to make a big move but the former Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona believes the boys have been exposed enough already.

William Njobvu has also advised young players to learn from the hard work and never giving up mentality of the duo so that they can also reach far in their careers.

The Sensational Zanaco midfielder feels the time is never right but its the player that can make it the right time or not.

“Knowing these boys personally and how hard they’ve worked over the past years, it’s not surprising to see how well they’re doing in Europe. What most young players can learn from these boys is to work hard and never give up,” Njobvu told the ZamFoot Crew in an exclusive interview.

“Personally I feel these boys have been exposed enough, Champions League, Europa League, Austrian Championship, Afcon QF and not forgetting Youth level experiences. The caliber of games they’ve played answers the argument for me. I think players mutual not with the number of years but the number of games they play. The time is never right, We’re the ones that make it to be the right time,” he added.

The duo is arguably Zambia’s best exports to Europe at the moment and just helped Redbull Salzburg to a double. Patson Daka has been on song with 24 goals to his name and only Shon Weissman (29) has scored more league goals this season in Austria.

The 2017 CAF young player of the year has played a total of 44 games this season scoring 27 goals and providing 11 assists.

And when he scored his second goal against TSV Hartberg last month, Daka became the first Zambian to score 20 league goals or more for a European club surpassing Mwape Miti’s 19 goals scored in the 2003/04 season for Danish side Odense Boldklub.

Mwepu has also been an influential figure in the middle of the park for Jesse Marsch’s men scoring four goals and making three assists in 24 matches.

AC Milan and RB Leipzig have already expressed interest in Patson while a number of Germany Bundesliga sides are keen on signing Mwepu and Liverpool are said to be monitoring him.
