Zambia U23 national team head coach Beston Chambeshi is targeting collecting maximum points this evening when his side lock horns with the defending Champions, Nigeria.

Chambeshi told a Journalists at the pre-match press conference that the ‘Bola na Lesa’ Boys will take this match with a very serious approach.

“We will take this game with a serious approach and see to it that we collect maximum points,” he said.

Chambeshi is however aware of how good Nigeria is and does not expect the match to be an easy affair.

“We are playing the second game of the tournament, we are playing Nigeria. It is a big game for us. We have targeted this game so that we can collect maximum points. It is not going to be an easy game, Nigeria is a good team.”

The trio of Fashion Sakala, Enock Mwepu and Patson Daka who missed the drawn match against South Africa arrived ahead of this match to complete Chambeshi’s 21 member squad and he is happy to have his star players back in the squad.

“They are our key players, they have made us be at this tournament. We expect the three players to come and add value,” he said

Zambia and Nigeria will square off this evening in the second group B match with the former having a point while the West Africans have no points.

In the other Group B match, South Africa will play table-topping Ivory Coast at the same venue in an early kickoff.
