Hector Simfukwe0-A 17 year old boy of Lusaka’s Barlastone area has allegedly been murdered by a group of pupils from Twin Palm secondary school.
Ryan PHIRI a grade 12 pupil at Kabulonga boys Secondary School, is said to have been attacked and beaten on December 4, 2020 and died at the University Teaching Hospitals – UTH.
Zambia police spokesperson ESTHER KATONGO says the father to the boy, Frank Phiri, reported the matter to the police.
Mrs Katongo has told ZNBC news that the deceased is reported to have been in the company of three colleagues who ran away after being attacked.
She has added that Golf sticks are alleged to have been used in the act which
occurred on 04th December, 2020 at around 10:00 hours between Malata area and Twin Palm area.
Mrs Katongo says investigations have been instituted.
Meanwhile police have received a report of alleged assault of 18 year old JEFF MIBENGE, a pupil of Lusaka High School.
Jeff is said to have been assaulted by his fellow pupils and is currently admitted at UTH.
Mrs Katongo says the father to Jeff, Jordan Mibenge of John Laing in Lusaka, filled in a complaint on behalf of his son who is currently admitted at UTH.
She has noted that Police who rushed to UTH could not get details of the injuries, adding that investigations have been instituted in the matter.
Mrs. Katongo has since cautioned pupils writing their exams to desist from engaging themselves in criminal activities or risk being arrested and prosecuted.
