Team of week: Kessy named player of the week

The MTN/FAZ Super League is slowly moving towards the end of the season and week in week out players put in their best to make sure their club finishes in a good position. The ZamFoot crew as usual is always on hand to pick their team of the week.

In a weekend that saw the Kawale boys stun Buildcon, Zanaco humiliate Zesco and Red Arrows and Green Buffaloes play to a one all draw, A new face has been crowned as the player of the week for the very first time.

Team of the Week

GK: Rabson Mucheleng’anga (Napsa Stars ) : Kept a clean sheet and made a number saves to keep Lumwana Radiants from scoring.

LB:Collins Mulenga (Green Eagles ): He was very solid in his position and made sure Buildcon did on have supply from their right winger.

RB: Spencer Sautu (Green Eagles) :Kept Lameck Banda quiet and ensured the Young winger was not productive like in the games prior. For a makeshift right back, did his duties effectively. Never wandered away or looked out of Place.

CB:Ben Bahn (Nkana): Was very solid at the back for the Wusakile boys and nothing went passed him in the Kopala derby.

CB: Warren Kunda (Green Eagles ):Made 5/6 Clearances/Moap ups, was visibly vocal and provided the assist for Kaseba. Even had one goal attempt

CM: Tafadzwa Rusike (Zanaco): The Zimbabwean midfielder controlled the game on Saturday at Sunset Stadium and scored a goal as Zanaco humiliated Zesco United 4-1.

CM: Larry Bwalya (Power dynamos): The midfielder was all over Nkana and was very creative despite his team mates failing to utilise his creativity and ending up on the losing side.

LW: Ramadhan Kessy (Nkana):Ramadhan Kessy- Effective as a right winger. Didn’t look out of position, had attacking impetus through out the match and Scored..

RW: Robin Siame (Kitwe United ): The Speedy winger was a thorn in the fresh of the Mighty Mufulira Wanderers and gave them a tough time all afternoon. He even scored the winner to help the Buchi Boys move out of the relegation zone.

CF: Chitiya Mususu (Zanaco ): The lanky forward was all over Zesco United defenders and gave them a lot of problems. He was also in the right place at the right time to net Zanaco’s third goal goal after a blunder from Jacob Banda.

CF: Tapson Kaseba (Green Eagles ) : The Kawale boys forward seems to have found his scoring boots . He scored a beautiful goal, His fourth in as many games to earn Eagles Maximum points.

Coach of the week: Aggrey Chiyangi : Aggrey Chiyangi. Neutralised all Buildxon threats, his team kept the shape well and picked their moments well on when to attack and simply retain possession in their own half when no outlets were provided. Won away at an Inform Build on who had won 4 on the bounce.

Player of the week: Ramadhan Kessy : Was very effective in an unfamiliar position and scored a goal .
