Team of the week: Lusaka dynamos dominate week eleven

The MTN/FAZ Super League entered week eleven of action last weekend with a number of interesting fixtures taking place all around the country.

Kabwe Warriors beat Kitwe United to go top of Stream A as Zanaco suffered their second straight loss, Losing 3-1 to a Chris Mugalu led Lusaka dynamos side. The ZamFoot crew now picks its team of the week.

Team of the Week

GK: Moonga Ndala, The Lusaka dynamos goalkeeper made a number of brilliant saves despite not keeping a clean sheet.

LCB: Yvan Mballa,The Forest Rangers defender put in a good shift to help Fole Malembe keep a clean sheet in their two nil win over Nkwazi away in Ndola.

CB: George Chilufya (Lusaka dynamos ), The Former Zanaco defender has been fantastic for the majority of the games he has played this season and over the weekend it was no different as he came up against his former team mates.

RCB: John Soko (Power dynamos), Soko has become an important player for the Kitwe giants and keeps putting in impressive shifts. When Power dynamos hosted Green Eagles he again made a number of good interceptions and last ditch tackles putting in an all round good performance.

DMF: Jack Chirwa (Green Buffaloes) , Chirwa scored the only of the game to help Buffaloes end their winless run and put in a great performance.

DMF: Paul Katema (Red Arrows), Since he started playing again for Arrows Katema has been having a blast. Last weekend Mighty Mufulira Wanderers had a test as he run down Joseph Sitali and kept him out of the game.

CM: Marvin Jere (Lusaka dynamos ), The Lusaka dynamos midfield ace was a marvel to watch last weekend as he kept Tafadzwa Rusike at bay and helped Lusaka dynamos to a 3-1 win over Zanaco.

LMF: Yussuf Sadam Phiri (Red Arrows ), The midfielder provided two assists and was all round fantastic as Red Arrows criised past Mighty Mufulira Wanderers 3-0.

RMF: Lameck Banda (Buildcon), The Zambia U23 national team forward was again a menace to the opposition defence and stepped up to dispatch a penalty scoring the only goal of the game helping Buildcon to open a two point lead at the summit.

CF: Hetitier Nkoko (Kabwe Warriors ), The Congolese forward came from the bench to score the first goal and help Kabwe Warriors to a 2-1 win hence going top of Stream A.

CF: Chris Mugalu (Lusaka dynamos), The 2017 Zambia Super League top goalscorer scored a brace to help Lusaka dynamos to a 3-1 win over Zanaco.

Player of the week : Mugalu, The Congolese forward kept Zanaco defenders on their toes all through the ninety minutes and scored a brace to help his team to a 2-1 win.

Coach of the week: Ian Bakala, Lusaka dynamos handed Zanaco a 3-1 beating and with Patrick Phiri not around it was Ian Bakala who plotted the downfall of Numba Mumamba’s charges.

Special Mention:

Scot Ngokene: Made some good saves in Kabwe Warriors 2-1 win over Kitwe United.

Abass Aboafah: Played well in midfield for Lumwana Radiants

Austin Muwowo: As usual the genius had a great game and managed to score a goal in Forest Rangers 2-0 win over Nkwazi.

Rodger Kola: The Zanaco striker was on target for Zanaco and gave Lusaka dynamos defenders a tough time all game.
