Government says it desires to see a robust transformation of the human resource management system in the public and local government services.

Secretary to Cabinet PATRICK KANGWA says this is why the country’s decentralization policy aspires to promote transparency and enhance participatory governance.

Mr KANGWA said this in a speech read on his behalf by Permanent Secretary at Cabinet Office WISDOM BWALYA during the Launch of the Teaching Service Commission-TSC- Strategic Plan for 2023 to 2026.

He also praised the commission for the strides it has made in delegating key functions of the human resource management committees located in all provinces.

Mr. KANGWA further said the Cabinet office will continue to give the required support as the commission operates effectively in implementing the strategies plan.

Meanwhile, Teaching Service Commission Chairperson DAPHNE CHIMUKA said the strategic plan is anchored on human resource management, service delivery partnership and organizational governance and operations.

Mrs. CHIMUKA said this will enable the commission to continue ensuring every child receives quality education and skills needed to thrive in the 21st century.

And the British Council Country Manager ACKIM BANDA said the council will continue partnering and supporting the various projects that help improve the quality of education in the country.
