TB FIGHT EARNS JAPAN KUDOS

Government has commended Japanese Anti-Tuberculosis Association-JATA- for helping in the fight against TB.
Ministry of Health Permanent Secretary Kennedy Malama says JATA has successfully implemented its anti TB programme in Chongwe and is helping government to achieve its vision of ending the disease by the year 2030.
He was speaking in Lusaka at the occasion to mark the successful completion of the JATA programme in Chongwe.
And Japanese Ambassador to Zambia Hidenobus Sobashima said Japan is ready to work with the Zambian Government in reducing the disease burden among the citizens.
Mr. Sobashima said the TB Chongwe project was initiated in December 2015 and has yielded positive results.
