The Drug Enforcement Commission – DEC -has arrested a 27- year-old suspected notorious Drug dealer of Lusaka’s Matero Township.
DANNY MAPULANGA, who is a businessman, has been arrested for trafficking in 350 sachets of Heroin.
DEC Public Relations Officer MATHIUS KAMANGA has confirmed the arrests in a statement to ZNBC News in Lusaka today.
Mr. KAMANGA said MAPULANGA is in Police custody and will appear in Court soon.
And the Commission has also arrested and jointly charged a Zimbabwean and a Spanish national for trafficking in narcotic drugs and for being in possession of 18 elephant bones.
Mr. KAMANGA said the elephant bones have since been handed over to the department of Wildlife and National Parks.
And in separate incidents, the Commission arrested Six people for cultivating and for being in possession of canabis.
The Six were arrested in Western, Copperbelt, Southern and Northern Provinces.
Mr. KAMANGA said the six have been remanded in custody and will appear in Court soon.
