SUPPORT WOMEN FOOTBALL-WINA

By Chansa Kunda-Vice President Inonge Wina has appealed to the corporate world to financially support the Zambia Women’s football team as they prepare for this year’s Olympic games.

The Vice President says the team needs among others financial and publicity support in order to prepare adequately for the upcoming games.

Mrs. Winasays she is impressed with the impact the team has made in the football arena by becoming the first female team in the country’s history to qualify for the Olympic games.

She says the team’s qualification to the Tokyo Olympic is motivation to the entire nation.

Mrs. Wina was speaking when the “Tokyo Olympic Fundraising Committee” led by its chairperson, Charity Lumpa paid a courtesy call on her today.

And the Committee appreciated the support by the Vice President adding that with increased awareness on the need to mobilize finances the girls will bring glory to the country.
