GOVERNMENT has partnered with international organisations to produce a project proposal on how best to tackle climate change so that the country’s major wetlands such as Bangweulu, Barotse flood plains, Kafue flats and Lukanga swamps are maintained in their original state.
The project proposal will receive US $ 6 million funding to tackle the effects of climate change. Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources Permanent Secretary Trevor Kaunda aid this in Lusaka yesterday when he graced the inception workshop on the development of the project proposal aimed at protecting wetlands and forests in Zambia.
