STOP THROWING GARBAGE IN DRAINS-RDA
By Hector Simfukwe:
The Road Development Agency has advised people against throwing garbage in the drainage system .
RDA Acting Director of Communication Anthony Mulowa says doing so does not only cause damage to the roads but also causes flooding in townships.
Mr. Mulowa says the indiscriminate throwing of garbage is a source of concern to the Road Development Agency (RDA) as it undermines the structural integrity of roads when drainages clog leading to water overtopping.
He says if not well channeled water can cause destruction to the road infrastructure .
This is contained in a statement made available to ZNBC News.
