State Firms told to Improve Customer Engagement

By Sharon Kunda- The Industrial Development Cooperation -IDC- has called on state owned enterprises to engage in constant customer improvement.IDC Group Chief Executive Officer Mateyo Kaluba says ownership should have no bearing on whether or not a company is profitable.Mr. Kaluba says with a competent management and board in place, state owned companies are expected to deliver results.He said the notion that Zambian companies should be associated with poor customer services must come to an end.The IDC CEO said this when he officiated at the official launch of the Zamtel Customer Service centre in Lusaka’s woodlands area.And Zamtel Chief Executive Officer Sydeny Mupeta has explained that the facility will serve as a one-stop-shop for its customer needs in terms of accessing products and services.
