SPORTS FEDERATION TOLD TO SUSPEND ACTIVITIES

By Chansa Kunda- The National Sports Council of Zambia -NSCZ- says sports federations that are struggling to operate under the second wave of the COVID-19 should suspend their activities.

NSCZ- Acting General Secretary Raphael Mulenga says the council has noted that a number of sports disciplines are finding it hard to operate during this period.

Mulenga told ZNBC Sports that it is regrettable that some sports are been undertaken in disregard of health guidelines.

He said sanctions will be imposed on associations that will be found operating without adhering to set health guidelines.

Mulenga has stressed that safeguarding the lives of Athletes should be a priority.
