Some European based players fail to impress Micho

Zambia national team head coach Milutin Sredojevic says some of the European-based players who were summoned for the October FIFA window may not make a return in November after they failed to impress against Kenya and South Africa.
The Serbian gaffer said players who are coming from that far need to make a difference or else they will not be summoned.
Micho had summoned seven European based players before COVID-19 knocked out the Austrian based duo of striker Patson Daka and midfielder Enock Mwepu. The five players who made it are Russian based duo of striker Evans Kangwa and midfielder Klings Kangwa, Edward Chilufya who is based in Sweden, Polish-based Lubambo Musonda, and Fashion Sakala who plays his trade in Belgium.
“We know what happened with the two from Red Bull Salzburg. I hope they will not use the same trick in November if they use we need to find a plan B and plan B, We are having these five players professionals (Foreign Based) that have been and I need with the most respect without mentioning any names to say that three and a half of them have qualified to get tickets to come back and one and a half are in question mark whether they will get tickets to come back,” Micho told the ZamFoot Crew.
“Because bringing someone from different parts of the world and they don’t make a difference, unfortunately, that will not work with us. We what to bring people who are making a visible difference, I want to thank them it is not easy to come from there and I want to ask to you as a media and supporters to forgive them because they have been shocked with the weather there, The first 45 minutes was looking terrible with this coordination so many things but this we need to put that they are also human beings and all the things that have done well during this period let them take the credits whatever was wrong, I will take the blame.”
The former Uganda national team boss wants the team to improve all-round with better defending, good midfield play, and being sharp upfront.
“In the match against South Africa I need to tell you that I’m happy with the commitment, dedication, and hard work but that is only what I’m happy with because so many critical aspects to look at where Chipolopolo at present is far from what is supposed to be and we shall be extremely critical through GPS,” he said.
“We want a bigger physical output of our players. We want much much more from the point of defending better in-out play in the middle and much sharper ahead of us that to happen. We shall have a special program in preparation for the Botswana team that is in preparation in the field and they will be one month being together before playing us,” he added.
The Serbian gaffer was using the window to prepare for next months back to back Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Botswana. Zambia will host the Zebras on 9th November before traveling to Gaborone on 8 days later.
