SMART ZAMBIA PARTNERS WITH NIPA

Smart Zambia Institute and the National Institute of Public Administration -NIPA- have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at capacity building and training in information communication technology -ICT- for civil servants.

Smart Zambia Institute National Coordinator Martine Mtonga says the signing of the MOU has come at a time when there is a digital transformation agenda in the public service.

Dr Mtonga says the main objective of the MoU is to promote capacity building, enhance training of computer engineers and specialists in ICT in the public service.

He says government is determined to ensure it implements the use of ICT in the public service for effective and efficient service delivery.

And Speaking at the signing ceremony, NIPA Executive Director Royson Mukwena said the institute is ready to offer training, capacity building and research to civil servants in the public service to enhance service delivery.

Professor Mukwena said ICT has the potential to make the public service more effective and efficient.
