“My Zambian client Julius Situmbeko arrived in the country last night (Monday) for a trial at Celtic. I received an invitation for him from the club. He will start training with Celtic players that are not part of the travelling squad (for Wednesday’s league match against Polokwane City),”Tebogo Ramasilo, Julius Situmbeko’s agent told Soccer Laduma.

His parent club have also confirmed the news. A ZamFoot crew source at Sunset Stadium said the former Power dynamos tricky winger was in South Africa with the blessings of club.

” Yes he is in South Africa at Bloemfontein Celtic. He is there for trials till Thursday this week,” The source said.

The talented winger is looking to change his environment and maybe a new challenge after he found his form at Zanaco this season following a troubled 2018 when he struggled to get game time.

However reports in South Africa indicate that Punya Sele Sele are going through some financial difficulties and a number of players are reportedly looking to move away from the Dr. Petrus Molemela Stadium.

According to TimesLive, current Celtic owner Max Tshabalala has a hefty debt owed to Sars, which has been an obstacle to the potential sale.

There have also been been reports of players’ salaries going unpaid, and the financial mess the club finds itself in is said to have influenced former coach Steve Komphela to jump ship to Lamontville Golden Arrows in the middle of the season.
