SIBUYUNJI SCHOOL ROOF BLOWN OFF

(ZANIS) Pupils at Mukulaikwa Basic School in Shibuyunji may NOT sit for their examinations after heavy rains blew off the roof of the school.

The rains left the entire roof at the school blown off and destroyed education materials.

And, Shibuyunji District Commissioner, ALFRED SHAPUTU, who visited the school described the situation as desperate.

Mr SHAPUTU has since called on the Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit -DMMU- to come to the rescue of the pupils.

And, Shibuyunji Council Chairperson ADRIAN MWANAKANYEMBA said it was too early to quantify the value of what has been destroyed.

Earlier, School Headteacher GALISON MWANZA said the situation has left the school in a desperate situation and called on well wishers to come to theaid of the pupils.
