Sex with an pregnant Goat lands 22 year in Jail for 15 years with hard labour

The Kasama High Court has quashed a five year sentence imposed on a 22 year old Nchelenge man who had carnal knowledge of a pregnant goat and replaced it with fifteen years imprisonment with hard labour.

Particulars of the offence were that on 2nd November 2018 Reuben Mwamba, of Mutono Village had carnal knowledge of a she goat contrary to section 155 (b) of the penal code chapter 87 of the laws of Zambia.

Mwamba was sentenced to five years imprisonment with hard labour by the Mansa Magistrates’ Court, after he pleaded guilty.

But yesterday, Ndola based Judge, Justice Emeria Sunkutu who is sitting in the Kasama High Court, quashed the earlier sentence of five years imprisonment and replaced it with fifteen years imprisonment with hard labour when the matter came for judicial review pursuant to section 338 subsection one of Chapter 88 of the Penal Code of the Laws of Zambia.
