Seven out as Zanaco seek rejuvenation

Sensational Zanaco football club have confirmed the departure of seven of its players from the club as they seek to fine-tune their team ahead of the start of the 2019/2020 Super League season.

Among those released are defenders Pangi Disengomoka, Richepin Tchokuaya, and Patient Ikamba. Others include former TP Mazembe and Congo U23 national team player Maisha Chavda, former Nkana midfielder Richard Kasonde and Bernard Ofori whose contract was terminated at the start of the 2019 FAZ/MTN Super League Transitional Season due to injury.

Former Napsa Stars winger Chitoshi Mukuma will be sent on loan but the club where he is heading has not been revealed just yet.

The club has thanked the players for their services and wished them well in their future endeavors.

“Sensational Zanaco Football Club would like to thank all those that are leaving for their contribution during their time at the club and wishes them well in their future careers.”

The seven-man list of released players comes barely 48 hours after announcing seven new additions to the squad which includes the return of former captain Ziyo Tembo and signing of Namibia national team defender Tiberius Lombard and the recruitment of well-decorated former Power Dynamos coach Kelvin Kaindu.
