SDA request govt to aid the church with roofing sheets

The seventh day Adventist church in Nkana area of Lufwanyama parliamentary constituency on the Copperbelt Province has appealed to President Edgar Lungu through the presidential initiative empowerment program to aid the church with eighty (80)  roofing sheets.

Nkana SDA church buildings Chairman Kennedy Chipoya  says the current church is only meant to accommodate about three hundred congregants but the number has grown to over one thousand.

He says the church has already started the construction of the bigger church building that will accommodate the required number.

Nkana SDA church buildings chairman has further stated that the church  membership though  grown in numbers have experienced challenges to complete the new building.

Mr. Chipoya says the church leadership will be grateful to president Lungu if it’s request will be honored.

The SDA church  leader was speaking when Patriotic Front District Chairman Justine Mulenga led a delegation of party officials that visited the site for new Nkana SDA church building under construction at the invitation of the church.

And Patriotic Front District Chairman Justine Mulenga has assured the church leadership that his executive will follow the right channel to communicate the request to the head of state.

This is according to a statement issued to q-news by Patriotic Front Information Publicity Secretary for Lufwanyama Parliamentary Constituency Henry Chilombo.
