University of Lusaka Vice Chancellor PINALO CHIFWANAKENI has urged scholars to do research that will add value to the country.
Professor CHIFWANAKENI says Africa has so many natural resources and scholars can do something to add value to the natural resources.
He said value addition to natural resources will increase revenue for the government and reduce taxes for the citizens.
Professor CHIFWANAKENI was speaking during the opening of Emerging Scholars Initiative joint school with the Stellenbosch University of South Africa at the University of Lusaka Silverest Campus today.
And Stellenbosch University African Center for Scholarship Director SARAH HOWIE said the goal of the emerging scholars initiative is to meet the demands of the 21st century.
Professor HOWIE said education and learning systems are perceived as failing to keep up with the pace of change.
