RTSA approves bus fares reduction

The Road Transport and Safety Agency -RTSA- has approved the reduction of bus fares.
RTSA Acting Head Public Relations MUKELA MANGOLWA says Intercity – Long Distance routes have been reduced by 3-point- 5 percent.
Mr. MANGOLWA says fares for local routes for Copperbelt, Lusaka and other towns have been reduced by One Kwacha.
He says bus fares for Inter-Mine and Lusaka Peri-Urban have been reduced by Two Kwacha.
The adjustment in bus fares comes in the wake of the reduction in the fuel pump prices by 3-point -07 Kwacha per litre for petrol and 3-point -37 Kwacha per litre for diesel on 29th February, 2024.
According to a statement availed to ZNBC News, the reduced prices were effective yesterday, 7th March, 2024.
