Housing and Infrastructure Development Permanent Secretary Charles Mushota

Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure Development Permanent Secretary, Charles Mushota has disclosed that the Romanian government has given Zambia a grant to conduct a feasibility study on upgrading slams in the country.

Mr Mushota says the feasibility study which will be conducted by a Romanian NGO,Rio-Aid is expected to commence in the next few weeks.

He has told Q-News that the ministry of housing and infrastructure development will prioritize Kanyama and Misisi compounds during the feasibility study.

Mr Mushota says once the feasibility study has been concluded, government will then look into how to finance the upgrading project.
