Road to Paris; Muscular injury knocks Hellen Chanda out of Ghana clashÂ
Turkey based Copper Queens midfielder Hellen Chanda has been ruled out of Wednesday’s Paris 2024 Olympics qualifier against Ghana due to a muscular injury.Â
Team Doctor Faith Chibeza confirmed the development explaining that Chanda suffered a muscular injury during training and hence missing the first leg and also set to miss the second leg.Â
Dr. Chibeza went on to say the rest of the players are in good health with only a few minor knocks and nothing serious.Â
“I would like to say that in general everyone is fine, we have a few minor knocks that we are following up on, nothing that could put someone out of play except for Hellen Chanda,†She said.Â
“She had a muscular injury two days before the match when we were training and that’s how come she did not appear in the game and she is unlikely to appear in the second because we want to allow for healing to take place ,†Chibeza added.Â
