REWRITE HISTORY-ECL

President Edgar Lungu says the World should rewrite history regarding the end of the first world war.
President Lungu has also asked educators to review their history curriculum to teach correct perspective of the war which claimed millions of people of all races.
The Head of State was speaking in Mbala today during the Centenary celebration.
The event was attended by British Royal Representative Lord David Richards and World War one German Commander General Von Lettow- Vorbeck, Grandson Haus Carper Gaf Tu Rautran.
President Lungu said the country has a significant chance to tell the truth about the End of the world war one.
He expressed happiness to the international community that turned up for the commemoration.
The Head of State said Zambia will retell the story of the world war and that the country is well known as a pioneer of peace.
President Lungu said the World should acknowledge and record that the last bullet of the World War one was fired in Zambia.
He said the end of the world war spelled peace which essentially was born in Zambia.
President Lungu said Zambia is an advocate of international peace and stability by promoting dialogue.
At the same function, British Royal Representative Lord David Richards praised the courage of African soldiers and others.
Earlier President Lungu held a closed-door meeting with British government officials.
