Resumption Of Operations At Maamba Collieries Will Have No Impact On Load Shedding
By Matthew Kanganja
State power utility company ZESCO says it will not reduce load-shedding hours any time soon even with the resumption of full capacity operation at the Maamba collieries thermal power plant.
Maamba collieries is now at full 300 megawatts power generation after repairing one of its generators which got damaged last year, leaving the company to operate at half scale.
In an interview with phoenix news, ZESCO national spokesperson Henry Kapata says load shedding will not reduce even with the latest development at Maamba collieries.
