MATCH PREVIEWS

RED ARROWS – YASA QUEENS

These two teams will be going into this match knowing very well that they are only separated by a point and victory for either side will help them to close in the gap at the top. Red Arrows coming from a 4 – 1 away win at Green Eagles will want to carry on their form against a YASA side who succumbed to their first defeat of the season last weekend after going down 2-1 at the hands of National Assembly and will try by all means to upset the Air Women.

The last time these two sides met was in a Pre-Season friendly game played at Mahatma Ghandi Football Ground on February 7, 2019. They played two matches with the Air Force sponsored side scoring 4 goals as they won 3-0 and 1-0. The Air Women have declared themselves ready and have said the morale is high in camp as they are eager to collect maximum 3 points.

NATIONAL ASSEMBLY – GREEN BUFFALOES

There’s a lot that is expected from this encounter as National Assembly welcome the Log Leaders Green Buffaloes who are the only side still unbeaten in the league thus far. The Parliamentarians are coming from a 2 – 1 nin over YASA while the Soldiers were awarded 3 points in midweek after Lusaka Queens failed to travel.

This is a game that is expected to produce a few goals as both teams are aiming for nothing but maximum points and a winner will have bragging rights as there have been alot of talks and preparations ahead of this match from the two camps. This is a must watch game.

Last time these two teams met was last year with The Soldiers winning both ties home and away One nil And Two nil respectively and will be hoping for continued dominance over the Parliamentarians who have always been a hard nut to crack in the league and would be counting on the Likes of Florence Tembo, Dorothy Lungu, Donaria Simaundu, Elina Mbewe, Thelma Phiri, Grace kamanga and Norin Betani to come to the party and produce the goods for the much needed result.

Buffaloes on the other hand will count on their Red Hot Striker Racheal Nachula, Joana Benaya, Maylan Mulenga, Ethel Chama, Mwangala Kamuti, Agnes Musesa and the safe pair of hands in goal, Hazel Nali who has kept clean sheets going into week 12.

PAMALAT – NKWAZI QUEENS

Pamalat have proved to be a force to reckon with so far coming from successive victories in their last two games beating the likes of Bauleni United and Olympic Flying Queens. Same applies to Nkwazi, they are unbeaten in their last 3 matches and are firing in all cylinders and going into this encounter they would look up to the likes of Cecilia Mwape and In-form Towera Nkhata to inspire the team.

KAFUE CRANES – LUYANDO FOUNDATION

Kafue Cranes will host league debutants Luyando Foundation in what promises to be a crunch encounter and battle of the enterprising teams with, Cranes having scored in 8 out of 11 league matches played meaning they have a great scoring abilities.

Interestingly, Luyando has scored more goals than the Cranes this shows they too are capable of scoring and bring a lot of skill to the table. By the way, these teams are just separated by one point with The Cranes having an upper edge. Really a Game to look out for.

LUSAKA QUEENS – BAULENI UNITED SPORTS ACADEMY

Having failed to fulfill their midweek fixture against Green Buffaloes, Lusaka Queens will have to rise to the occasion and fight hard against Bauleni United Sports Academy who collected maximum points last weekend beating Chiparamba by four goals to two. The Chilanga outfit has lost all their last 6 games and are second from bottom on the table with only 3 points to their name while Bauleni has lost 3 and won 3 in the last 6 games taking their tally of points to 16 and occupying position number 7. This statistic shows that BUSA has an upper hand in this tie and they look poised to go back with a victory and will bank on the services of Salome Phiri, Daina Banda, Sherry Shamasumo and Clara Musonda to win it for them and Coach Tobias Zulu has declared his charges ready for the game.

Bauleni

CHIPARAMBA BREAKTHROUGH SPORTS ACADEMY – OLYMPIC FLYING QUEENS

This is a battle of number 11 and 12 on the log standing with the home team on 9 points while the visitors have 3 points. Both teams haven’t been so impressive this season and are still trying to discover the winning formula which has proved so difficult. This match can go either way but the home team has an advantage.
