Red Arrows coach heaps praise on brace hero Chamanga

Red Arrows coach Chisi Mbewe was full of praise for Striker James Chamanga following his impressive performance on Sunday helping the Airmen to a 2-1 win over Elite Lusaka dynamos.

Chamanga scored a first half brace and was a constant threat for the Lusaka dynamos defence through out the match to help the Airmen to a win.

“Ever since James Chamanga came to Red Arrows he has brought a lot of motivation to the young players , He really encourages the team a lot. People talked saying he was old before we even registered him but what I saw in training is what made me say let’s sign him,” Chisi told the ZamFoot crew in a post match interview.

” Yes like I said we planed for this season and our objective was to play continental football so for us we taking each game at a time and we are on the right track,” He added.

This is the was the first time Chamanga scored for Arrows in four games since making his debut for Airmen on his return to Zambia after a 13 year absence.

The 2012 AFCON winner left for South Africa in 2006 playing for Bush Bucks, Supersport United and Moroka Swallows before leaving for China where he played for Dalian Shide aand Liaoning Kiaxin.
