The Zambia U-20 Women’s National Team will face Ghana U-20 Women’s National Team in the third round of the Costa Rica 2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers in December over a two legged affair with the winner advancing to the fourth round.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF), has rectified and confirmed the third round fixtures after the earlier posted pairings were mixed up due to system error.
The Young Copper Queens will host the Black Princesses in the first leg during the weekend of 2-4 December 2021 before traveling to Ghana for the second leg during the weekend of 16-18 December, 2021.
Skipper Evarine Susan Katongo and co will have to put in even better performances as they face Congo despite the big 8-1 aggregate win in the second round.
Other big match pairings will see Nigeria square off with Congo while the Basetsana of South Africa has been paired with Uganda
The Coach Charles Haalubono drilled lasses qualified to the third round after Thrashing Malawi 8-1 on aggregate to set up a mouthwatering clash against Black Princesses who qualified through a walk over because their opponents Mauritania pulled out of the race.
The winner between Zambia and Ghana will face either Uganda or South Africa who will also be locking horns with each other in the third round.
Note: only two teams from Africa will qualify to the Costa Rica 2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World.
