What a weekend it was in the Lusaka Region FAZ Women’s League week 10 with Red Hot’ Green Buffaloes goal poacher Rachel Nachula netting her second Double Hatrick to help her team record an emphatic 12 – 0 victory away from home against Chiparamba Breakthrough Sports Academy.

National Assembly were too powerful for Lusaka Queens as they silenced them 10 – 0 away from home with The Experienced Red Arrows showing command over Luyando Foundation with a comfortable 6 – 0 win at Nkoloma Stadium.

Elsewhere Green Eagles were held to a 1 – 1 draw by a stubborn YASA side who are still unbeaten in the league while Kafue Cranes put 3 Goals past Olympic Flying Queens. Pamalat and Bauleni Queens completed week 10 action with the Milk Girls managing to pick up vital 3 points at home.

CHIPARAMBA BREAKTHROUGH SPORTS ACADEMY 0 – 12 GREEN BUFFALOES

There was a goals galore at Olympia Secondary School Ground as log leaders Green Buffaloes continued with their 100% winning record after beating Chiparamba Breakthrough Sports Academy 12 – 0 at their own backyard. The Soldiers scored through Rechel Nachula with her second double hatrick in a row, Mwangala Kamuti and Anita Mulenga had braces while Memory Nthala and Yokwase Phiri shared a goal each to make it 10 wins out of 10 games for the Coach Charles Halubono and Carol kanyemba tutored side. This was Chiparamba’s 8th loss of the season in as many games as they have played managing only 9 points and occupying position 11. Next Assignment for Green Buffaloes they Will Host Lusaka Queens as Chiparamba Travel to Bauleni.

LUSAKA QUEENS 0 – 10 NATIONAL ASSEMBLY

National Assembly recorded their biggest score line in the 2019 league after silencing Lusaka Queens 10 – 0 In Chilanga. Betty Mbesuma and Elina Makishi scored Hatricks, with Elina Nyirenda bagging a brace while Felistus and Musonda Chimfwembe scored a goal apiece to make sure the Parliamenterians walk away with maximum 3 points which takes them to 21 points at par with Green Eagles with the latter having a better goal difference. Lusaka Queens Will Have to pick up and Reorganise themselves ahead of this coming weekend as they have an uphill battle travelling away to Arakan Barracks to play against Green Buffaloes While National Assembly will make a short trip to YASA in a game which is expected to produce sparks.

GREEN EAGLES 1 – 1 YASA QUEENS

This was the weekend’s crush of the titans as Green Eagles welcomed a stubborn YASA side in Makeni at ZNS Camp. Eagles were going into this game coming from a 5 – 0 win over Luyando Foundation and looked poised to win this tie but coming up against 2019 in form and team of the moment YASA who were bubbling with confidence after beating Lusaka Queens 3 – 1 in the previous game was always going to be a tall holder for the ZNS Sponsored side who are just 5 points away from YASA on the log standing. And it showed just that as Yasa through Their 2018 player of the year Patricia Lampi equalised to make sure they salvage a point as both teams shared spoils with a 1 – 1 draw. YASA were a more happier side collecting a point away from home which is not bad ahead of yet another tricky tie as they host the Parliamentarians while Green Eagles will Welcome 3rd placed Red Arrows at home.

KAFUE CRANES 3 – 0 OLYMPIC FLYING QUEENS

Kafue Cranes picked up pieces from last week’s 2 – 1 away loss at Bauleni as they cruised to a comfortable 3 – 0 win at home against struggling Olympic Flying Queens. Goals from Clara Ngoma, Tisi Lungu and an own goal were all the cranes needed to edge Limping Queens who are still stuck on position number 12 with 3 points. Kafue Crane’s next game will be an away date with Nkwazi while Olympic Flying Queens will host Parmalat who recorded a 2 – 0 win at home to Bauleni.

RED ARROWS 6 – 0 LUYANDO FOUNDATION

Red Arrows hosted league debutants Luyando Foundation at Lusaka’s Nkoloma Stadium in a game that was dubbed as a battle of Goliath Vs David. Girls were separated from Women as the Air Force Sponsored outfit flew higher above the Foundation with a resounding 6 – 0 score line to redeem themselves after going down 2 – 1 at the hands of Nkwazi last weekend. Next on the table for the Air Women is a game to watch against a resilient Green Eagles away in Makeni.

PAMALAT GIRLS 2 – 0 BAULENI QUEENS

After going down 7 – 0 away at Green Buffaloes, Pamalat Girls were up against Bauleni Queens who were fresh from a 2 – 1 win over Kafue Cranes who found comfort at Olympic Flying Queens. This tie was interesting because it was a winner takes it all in terms of log standings as these teams were only separated by 3 points with Bauleni being on top of Pamalat. The Home side rose to the occasion and utilised their Home Ground Advantage by Putting 2 Goals Past Bauleni. Pamalat’s Next game will be an away fixture to Olympic Flying Queens while Bauleni will Host Chiparamba Breakthrough in a battle of the elite.
