PROVINCIAL FIRE STATIONS COMING

Government will expedite works in constructing provincial fire stations across the country.
Lusaka Mayor Miles Sampa says the program is now at the Ministry of Finance level awaiting release of finances with construction works expected to commence by end of this year.
Mr. Sampa adds that the Lusaka city council will ensure that it reduces relying on the central government by bringing in revenue to sustain its operations.
Officiating at the Fire brigade annual ball last night, Mr. Sampa said the team plays a vital role in society.
He added that he will work with the team collectively to avoid loss of property and deaths through fire.
