PRODUCE MORE PEDIATRICIANS- DR. CHILUFYA

By Reuben Chomba:Health Minister Chitalu Chilufya has challenged medical schools to produce more pediatricians.Dr. Chilufya says last year only two pediatricians graduated, a situation that government is not pleased with.He says government wants more health workers to service the hospitals that have been constructed across the country.Dr Chilufya says pediatricians are critical to the country’s attainment of universal health coverage agenda.He was speaking during the Zambia Pediatric Association-ZPA annual general meeting in Lusaka.Meanwhile Zambia Pediatrics Association president Musaku Mwenechanya said the association is pleased with government’s massive investment in the health sector.Dr Mwanechanya further said the attainment of universal health coverage agenda requires the support of everyone.
