PRISON LEOPARDS GO TOP WITH WIN OVER FOREST…As Mwenya Chipepo reiterates ABSA Cup target

Prison Leopards moved above seven-time Zambian super league champions Sensational Zanaco into first place in the Super League following a hard-fought 2-0 win over Forest Rangers.

Midfielder Francis Zulu’s scored in the first minute of the game and a 90th-minute strike by Kobe Chipeta was enough to securea  2-0 home victory, Their seventh win of the season.

While all eyes were on today’s showdown between Nkana FC and Zesco United, Prison Leopards once again showed that they must be taken seriously in the title race.

Speaking to the ZAMFOOT crew after the game, Leopards coach Mwenya Chipepo had all praise for his boys who have continued to show class among these-called big boys of the Zambian super league.

“Our ambition is to qualify for the Absa cup which is determined at week 17, we will take the next four games as normal games and we are confident we will be into the top six midseasons when the qualifying slots are determined,” he said.

PrisonLeopard’ss next four games are an away game to Lumwana Radiants, a home derby against Kabwe Warriors, an away game to Zanaco and they conclude at home when they host Green Buffaloes.

Prison Leopards have so far played seven games at the President’s Stadium winning five, drawing on,e, and only lost once to Red Arrows. Leopards have in the process scored 10 goals and only conceded 3 in those seven games.
