President Lungu resurfaces
President Edgar Lungu resurfaced and came back to face the public after staying off the cameras and lime light in the past few days.
Lungu who was last seen at ZNBC studios on Thursday after storming the station and held a live interview TV program only appeared on the swearing ceremony at statehouse.
Lungu has so far absconded campaigns over the weekend leaving the public to speculate about his where about. Recently the Vice President Inonge Wina has led the PF campaigns in Central Province.
And speaking after the swearing in of eight judges of the Court of Appeals at State House today, President Lungu said Zambia has one of the best judicial systems that should be protected and defended from intimidation
The President said being a politician he will set as an example to protect and defend the integrity of the judiciary.
He has advised politicians faced with cases before the courts to refrain from bringing names of others in the proceedings.
President Lungu has since advised office bearers in the court of appeals to remain independent and uphold integrity because the oath taken demands so.
He has also assured the judges that government will do its best to ensure their conditions of services and office accommodation are taken care off.
Those sworn in include Justice Fulgency Chisanga as Judge President to be deputized by Justice Chalwe Mchenga.
The Court of Appeals Judges include Justice Catherine Makungu, Justice Justin Chashi, Justice Flavia Chshimba, Justice Judy Mulongoti, Justice Dominic Sichinga and Justice Mubanga Kondolo
