President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA says the National Day of Prayer is for all Zambian as it transcends any affiliation.

President HICHILEMA says the National Day of Prayer provides all Zambians an opportunity to make amends of the wrong doings.

He said this in a speech read on his behalf by Vice President MUTALE NALUMANGO during the observance of the 2022 National Day of Prayer, themed “PROMOTING NATIONAL UNITY, PEACE AND INTEGRATION FOR A PROSPEROUS ZAMBIA THROUGH HARD WORK”.

And President HICHILEMA commended the Church for promoting peace and Unity in the country.

He said the Church has shown relentless efforts in uniting the Country and that Government will continue supporting the cause.

Speaking earlier during homily, Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia -EFZ- Chairperson PAUL MUSUSU urged politicians to avoid giving hand outs to people.

He said nothing will lead Zambia to Prosperity but hard work.

Bishop MUSUSU also admonished the clergy saying they must stop promoting laziness through the purported Miracle money.

Meanwhile, Chairperson of the national organising committee, ESTHER JANI implored Zambians to take time to reflect and contribute to nation-building.
