President HICHILEMA expected in Chipata for Youth Day

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA is scheduled to grace the 2024 National Youth Day celebrations on Tuesday in Chipata, Eastern Province.

Eastern Province Permanent Secretary PAUL THOLE has confirmed the development.

He said the region will be privileged to host the President.

Mr. THOLE has appealed to the people in the province to turn up in numbers and celebrate the youth day with the President.

And Chipata Mayor GEORGE MWANZA said youths should ensure that they are driven by passion in choosing careers.

Mr. MWANZA also said youths have a responsibility to contribute positively to the development of the country.

He said this during a youth career fare held at Chipata College of Education.

Various activities are taking place in Chipata to prepare for the youth day.
