The Head of State will also undergo a routine medical check-up whilst in South Africa.

Meanwhile earlier on Tuesday President Edgar Lungu met with a European Union delegation that comprised a Germany and Swiss minister on the electoral standoff in the DRC that has seen the announcement of results delayed.

President told the EU delegation that as the Head of the SADC troika on Defence and Security he will lead efforts for a peaceful solution in the DRC.

Delay in announcement of election results in the DRC have heightened instability in the vast mineral rich country.
