By Mary Mwiinga and Etambuyu Katota:Patriotic Front Secretary General Davies Mwila has urged the church to continue praying for the government and leaders in view of global pressure to accept strange moral practices.Mr. Mwila says the church plays a huge role in shaping morals of the country.He was speaking during a fundraising dinner for the construction of Saint Ignatius of loyala parish in Obama area being supported by Saint Joseph Kamanga parish in Lusaka.Meanwhile, Saint Joseph Kamanga Parish Priest James Zulu said there is need for the church and politicians to work together because they serve the same purpose which is the welfare of society.Father Zulu said supporting the construction of the church is supporting peace building, unity and transformation of society.And Kamanga parish Chairperson Thomas Chileshe said the construction of the church is meant to easy access of the children and elderly for the growing Christian community in the area.Mr. Mwila contributed Sixty-thousand-kwacha cash.Meanwhile, PF Member of the Central Committee Anne Kayula has called for unity and discipline among women in the party.Ms. Kayula says this will attract more women to the party.Speaking during a PF Women party mobilization meeting in Lusaka today, Ms. Kayula said women must also aspire to take up leadership roles and participate in the activities of the Party.And PF Lusaka Province Women Chairperson Margaret Mumba said party mobilization is important to strengthen the PF.Ms. Mumba also appealed to women in the party not to engage in violence even when provoked by the opposition but should encourage the promotion of peace and unity.Meanwhile Lusaka Provincial Mobilization Committee Coordinator Jeremy Chibuye said his committee will continue mobilization resources that will be used in the recruitment exercise of new members.
