By Hector Simfukwe:

The Lusaka Water Supply and Sanitation Company says its supply of water to communities has been affected by the current loss of power supply being experienced countrywide.

Company Public Relations Officer Nshamba Muzungu says as a result of this, the company’s water production facilities in Kafue and Lusaka have been adversely affected.

He says this has resulted in most parts of the City experiencing erratic water supply over the last few days.

Mr. Muzungu says there will be reduced hours of water supply until the situation is rectified.

He says Normal supply will only be restored once the company resumes operations at full capacity.

This is contained in a statement made available to ZNBC news.
