Popular UPND Councilor, Kyapalushi Kapatamoyo resigns

UNITED Party for National Development (UPND) Tumvwangani ward Councilor in Solwezi, Kyapalushi Kapatamoyo has resigned from the opposition party.This is contained in a letter addressed to the Mayor dated September 10, 2018 and made available to Mwebantu.Ms. Kapatamoyo said she had resigned as councillor on personal reasons.She said that she ceases to be a member of any political party and that she will no longer actively participate in any politics.“I, Kyapalushi Kapatamoyo Ward Councilor for Tumvwangani ward hereby notify your office that I resign as Ward Councilor based on personal reasons. I will no longer actively participate in politics and cease to be a member of any political and further disassociate myself from any political party.” Her letter read in part.In August 2016, she was elected as Councillor for Tumvwanganai ward, under the Solwezi Municipal Council in the North Western province of Zambia as the only female in the municipality.And Kapatamoyo thanked the UPND for according her chance an opportunity to serve as councillor.The UPND has continued to lose Members in the Province.
