Pope FRANCIS nominates Parish Priest of Divine Mercy For Monze Diocese

Brian Mwale-Pope FRANCIS has nominated Parish Priest of Divine Mercy of Monze Diocese FRANCESCO AIRODIAS as the Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese.

Zambia Council for Catholic Bishops Communications Secretary WINFIELD KUNDA says the appointment was revealed in a communique the Apostolic Nuncio to Zambia and Malawi, Archbishop GIANFRANCO GALLONE sent to the Catholic Bishops and Diocesan Administrator of
the Dioceses in Zambia.

Fr. KUNDA in a statement to ZNBC News in Lusaka today said Fr. AIRODI will continue to govern the Diocese of Monze, until a new Bishop is appointed.

Bishop MOSES HAMUNGOLE who died suddenly recently was in charge of the Monze Diocese

Fr. AIRODI belongs to the Fidei donum priests of the Archdiocese of Milan.

Prior to working in Monze Diocese, Fr. AIRODI worked in the Archdiocese of Lusaka from 2007 to 2019.
