Political Entertainer Tilyenji Makes Presidential Cut

Tilyenji-KaundaUNIP president Tilyenji Kaunda will provide the regular election entertainment with his insistence of making the ballot at every opportunity despite having no impact after having filed his nomination for the August 11 elections.

Tilyenji who has clung on at the helm of UNIP since 2001 has routinely offered himself for the top job of the country but has had voters by-passing him at every opportunity.

In his never give up spirit Tilyenji was at again this morning when he alongside his running mate Njekwa Anamela successfully filed their nomination.

Riding on his father’s legacy Tilyenji seems to be scraping for the remainder of the remaining assets for the freedom founding party without which the oldest party in the country would have long been history going by electoral records.

Tilyenji vowed to revive the economy if elected into power by the Zambian electorates.

FDD’s Edith Nawakwi was next on the roster to bring the number of successful candidates to two so far.

Ten presidential aspirants have expressed interest in contesting the elections after having paid the requisite K75, 000 though now reduced to K60, 000 nomination fees.
