POLICE RECOVER STOLEN 392 TONNES OF COBALT

Police in Lusaka have recovered about 392 tonnes of Cobalt ore and Cobalt concentrate suspected to have been stolen.

Deputy Police Public Relations Officer DANNY MWALE says police on the Copperbelt received reports of a stolen truck loaded with 35 kilograms of cobalt ore.

He says investigations led police to the recovery of 392 tonnes of cobalt ore and cobalt concentrate at a warehouse in Lusaka’s Makeni area.

Mr. MWALE, however, says no arrests have been made as suspects are on the run.

He spoke with ZNBC News in an interview in Lusaka.
