POLICE QUESTION FORMER PF SECRETARY GENERAL DAVIES MWILA

Former Patriotic Front -PF- Secretary General Davies Mwila this morning appeared for questioning before the Zambia Police in the ongoing investigations into the former ruling party’s campaign vehicles used in Northern Province.
Mr. Mwila who was summoned to report at Chelstone police was accompanied by senior PFf officials and was interrogated for close to two hours.
And Mr. Mwila’s lawyer Kambwa Aongola told journalists that police have informed them that they will be asked to come back later as the investigations in the matter progress.
Mr. Aongola however said police have failed to state who the complainant in the matter is and what offence has been committed.
Meanwhile, PF member Chishimba Kambwili has charged that the path of investigating campaign vehicles will haunt the ruling UPND saying this move is likely to destroy democracy as people will now be scared to help the opposition during campaigns.
And PF Chairperson for Information and Publicity Raphael Nakacinda has charged that the summoning of pf senior officials is an indication that President Hakainde Hichilema is preoccupied with destabilizing the opposition.
