Police Dove Queens skipper optimistic ahead of ZISD Women clash

The Old Independence Stadium in Lusaka will be the venue this afternoon as North-western-based FAZ Women’s National League side Police Dove Queens will lock horns with Zambia Institute for Sustainable Development (ZISD) Women Football Club in a 2020/21 FAZ Women’s Super League Match Week 8 encounter.

With both teams not doing so well, this looks like a fair fixture for either side to start their rejuvenation from.

The ZamFoot Crew spoke to Dove Queens captain Edith Chimwasu ahead of this game who believes that the game will not be easy for them this afternoon but they are ready for battle.

“The team is prepared and ready for the task ahead of us this afternoon. We expect a very competitive game as ZISD is not a small team. This time around there’s no underdog in football,” she said.

Chimwasu says the Solwezi based outfit is not under pressure as all they are focusing on is maximum points.

“Both teams will be fighting to get maximum points, as such we are playing intending to collect the maximum points. But that doesn’t make us play under pressure in today’s game.”

The Fearless Girls have only managed to collect 4 points out of 6 games played while their opponents ZISD are stuck on 1 point and they have played a game more than them so it’s a winner taking it all in terms of supremacy on the log standings.
